Monthly Mending Workshop @ The Reuse & Repair Collective

March 15 @ 2:00 pm 4:00 pm PDT

Join Christina for a hands-on workshop dedicated to extending the life of your clothes through practical, effective mending techniques. This monthly gathering is designed for those who want to repair, refresh, and rewear their favorite pieces rather than replace them.

Book the Optional Sewing Refresher: If you’d like a quick skill boost before Christina’s Monthly Mending Workshop, join this separate pre-class session.

What to Expect at the Monthly Mending Workshop

The session begins with an introduction to the workshop and guidance on best practices for bringing new life to old garments. From there, participants will dive into hands-on mending using both hand sewing and machine techniques, including darning, sewing on buttons, hemming, replacing zippers, basic elastic, and patching. Please let us know if you need us to provide zippers, elastic, or other supplies.

Please note: This workshop focuses on repair, not alterations, and participants are asked to bring one or two items to mend.

What will be Provided

All basic supplies are provided, and Christina will be on hand to answer questions, demonstrate techniques, and support your project from start to finish. Zippers and elastic are project-specific and must be requested in advance.

10% of ticket proceeds will be donated to the San Diego Reuse & Repair Collective.
