Monthly Social for Makers, Tinkerers & Creatives

Come join us for a series of monthly gatherings at a newly opened venue. This is a free event for anyone interested in being surrounded by Makers, Tinkerers, Creatives, and More.
Feel free to arrive as early as 6:30 pm. Someone will be at the door to let you in until 7 pm. After that, knock on the door or ring the doorbell, then we’ll let you in.
There is no set agenda, so feel free to walk in and get to know other local makers. We also invite people to bring, share, or discuss interesting projects they’ve seen or are working on. It can be anything from crochet to circuit boards. We’ll have tables available for you to set it out for display. Share your highlights and lessons, and get the chance to ask for advice. We want to hear all the technical details and share a laugh over the silly mistakes. Attendees are welcome to simply socialize and participate in stimulating conversations with other Makers.
This is a trial series of meetings for our little community. Attendance is important so we can gauge whether you like the venue and are interested in these kinds of informal social events in the future. Feel free to make suggestions to the host or drop a comment.
This meeting is kindly hosted by our friends at Zero Waste San Diego, a nonprofit with 18 years of sustainability leadership and a new facility, the Reuse & Repair Collective, in downtown San Diego. Currently focused on events, this community hub will soon also provide tools and repair expertise.
🚲 Parking & Transportation
Please be aware that there is a steep hill to reach the entrance.
- Public transit: We’re just a short walk from the trolley and several bus routes.
- Free street parking: 2-hour free parking is available on Beech St & 6th Ave in front of the venue. There is typically a lot of street parking available in the evenings.
- Meters: Many paid parking meters are available nearby.
- ACE Parking: hourly private parking is available at nearby ACE Parking lots.
- Bikes: Free bike storage is available onsite for attendees.
