It is our duty to get involved in and vote for regulation that makes producers and manufacturers responsible for the end of life of their products.
Below is a list of ways that you can get involved in advocating for and passing initiatives that support zero waste:
- Write letters to local government officials
- Send emails to manufacturers asking questions about their product life cycles, their sustainability practices and ask how you can support them in their efforts to keep improving these practices
- Host an event or march that spreads awareness in a positive way in your community
- Vote in every election. Ask questions and pay attention to the language used in certain propositions and bills. Just because you’re voting YES on something, it could mean that it supports its opposition.
