SUPPORT ZERO WASTE LEGISLATION

The state of California has several environment-related legislative bills that have been passed or could be passed. An example would be SB-1383 (Organics Out of the Landfill). People like you are part of this legislative process, writing and calling their representatives to support bills that move us toward a more sustainable future. Also, it’s important to know what measures will be on local ballots (e.g. straw and styrofoam bans) so you can vote for a better future for our community.

State Level
AB 1276 – Accessories on Demand
AB 54 – Plastics Reduction Act

Local Level
SB 54 – Ban on Straws and Styrofoam
SB 1383 –  Access to organics and food rescue
Measure B – Repealing the People’s Ordinance
